Healthy skin is a sign of good physical and mental health. It is also the result of good skincare habits and a healthy daily regime. Healthy skin care depends on a systematic plan of diet, therapy, and medication. With the help of Yoga and Ayurveda, everybody can get healthy and glowing skin.
According to Yoga and Ayurveda, all five sense organs are known as the vital gateways of the human body. Out of them, the skin is one of the most important organs. Healthy skin is a great reflection of our physical and mental health. In another way, I can say skin is like a mirror of our health and natural care.
Healthy Skin is a mirror of good Health.
Good skin is one of the most features of a human being. The skin protects us from extreme external conditions like rains, harsh sunlight, winds, fire, and some less extreme situations like contact with rough and hot surfaces, etc. Beautiful skin is not a result of cosmetic achievement. According to Yoga and Ayurveda, it is an indication of good health. Ayurveda is based on the concept of the three Doshas, Sapta that and Six taste. The human body needs all balance to function optimally. Ayurvedic skincare and Yoga focuses on balancing the whole body and supporting the digestive system. Once you understand what your skin needs, you’ll be able to approach skincare and beauty holistically.
THE BASICS OF SKINCARE
Skincare based on three basic steps:
Purification - Removing impurities from the skin through the yogic process and Ayurveda.
Toning and nourishing - Balancing the skin and nutrients with the help of a Yogic diet.
Moisturizing -Maintaining skin moisture with the help of Ayurveda.
Yoga and Pranayam is the key to great skin:
Skin problems occur due to an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. Due to this all three dosha get imbalanced resulting in many problems. Aggravated Vata Dosha causes skin issues that have pain or prickling accompanied by dry skin. Aggravated Pitta Dosha causes skin problems like inflammation and burning sensation. Aggravated Kapha Dosha causes oily or itchy skin. Ayurveda and various yogic exercises are highly beneficial in balancing this Dosha in the body.
